History

Calle 23 was launched in 2009 by Sophie Decobecq, a French biochemist and engineer who moved to Mexico for work, fell for tequila, and began distilling out of curiosity before it grew into a full brand. She develops her own yeast strains and sources mature Los Altos agave, and remains the brand's owner and master distiller.
