History

Siembra Azul grew out of Guadalajara-born David Suro's frustration after opening Tequilas, his Philadelphia restaurant, in 1986 and finding only poor tequila available in the US Northeast; the brand took roughly twenty years to bring to life. It is the house's flagship highland tequila, made in Arandas with the Vivanco family from single-estate agave in mineral-rich red clay, and the label doubles as a manifesto for transparency, publishing production data with every batch.
