Tequila General Gorostieta
History
The brand is a tribute to General Enrique Gorostieta Velarde, the professional soldier who led the Cristero rebellion of the 1920s and turned scattered rebels into a disciplined force of over 25,000 before his death in 1929. Its creators frame the tequila as an homage to courage, aiming to revive a largely forgotten chapter of Mexican history, with the spirit made from Los Altos highlands agave in northern Jalisco.
