Tequila Xoloitzcuintle
History
Xoloitzcuintle Tequila takes its name from the ancient Mexican hairless dog of Aztec belief, combining Xólotl, the fire deity, with 'itzcuintle', the Nahuatl word for dog; these animals were thought to guide souls safely to the underworld. The brand positions itself as an expression of Mexico's history and culture, with its tequila distilled from highland Jalisco agave and bottled in Mexico City.
