Strawberry Margarita
Fresh berries muddled into the shaker, not syrup from a gun. Made this way it is a fruit-forward drink that still tastes like tequila, which is the entire argument for it.
4 ingredients5 minutesRocksStrawberry half
Ingredients
2 oz Verified Pure blanco tequila
3 ripe strawberries, hulled
0.75 oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz agave nectar (2:1 agave to water)
Method
- Muddle the strawberries in the bottom of a shaker.
- Add tequila, lime, agave, and ice; shake hard.
- Double strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a strawberry half on the rim.
Panel note
Ripeness is the recipe. Pale supermarket berries need another half ounce of agave; farmers market berries in June need none at all.
